【Durham University】英国杜伦大学将推出Password英语语言测试
Dear Partners
Greetings from Durham
I am delighted to announce that we will be launching the Password English Language test early next week.
To date, we have received over 600 expressions of interest from Durham applicants/offer holders, who would like to sit the Password test. The majority are PGT applicants/offer holders.
We will be launching the Password test in two phases:
- A ‘soft launch’ to the students who have already expressed an interest in Password. These students will be able to take the test from our early launch date next week, following receipt of payment of their test fee. A campaign message will be going out to these students on the launch day to direct them to a Password test information page on our website, which will have a link to a fee payment web page (hosted by Durham University)
- There will be a second wave of test booking, anticipated to launch in the following week (25th May), which will be open to all remaining Durham offer holders who have an English language condition. Durham’s Campaigns team will email an invitation to these students with directions on how to book their test. We anticipate that the invitation to the second batch will be send on, or around Friday 22nd May 2020.
Once students have paid their test fee, and payment has been confirmed by Durham’s Finance team, Admissions will email the student a test ID and link to the test booking page hosted by ProctorU. The student will then be able to book a test slot with an allotted date/time. There will be a limit to the number of available test slots per day, but ProctorU have assured us that the system will be easy to use and will show students all available sessions
Students will take the test on their allotted time/date, which will be in two parts; part one – writing and reading/part two – speaking and listening..
Once the test has been taken, results should be available to the University within 5 working days. However, if there are any issues identified during the test, results could take longer, whilst ProctorU and ourselves review the test video footage – incidences will be traffic light coded by severity
Test results will go directly to Durham’s Admissions and the student will be notified of the outcome from the University Admissions Team. There will be no requirement for the student to send in their test results or certificate to Durham’s Admissions team as they will have secure web-access to everything they need to make a decision.
