在短暂地和文书启动会主讲人,也就是自己的文书老师沟通后,G同学在两周内迅速完成了文书素材的填写,并和文书老师进行了一场高效的头脑风暴。由于G同学本身就在课余一直专注于在她感兴趣的领域提高自己的实践能力,头脑风暴过程中,我们对于已有素材更进一步的挖掘,快确定了文书思路和框架。之后,G同学便把精力集中在了新实习和托福考试上。国庆假期结束,G同学拿到了理想的语言分数,并主动和中期老师进行多次沟通,选择了最贴合自己的performing arts administration专业申请。
G同学所做的剧院实习与申请专业紧密贴合,并且工作的内容和范围也随着时间的推移不断深入和扩大,让她不仅对于中国演出行业,不同岗位和职责有了更深刻了了解,更让她对于这个行业目前的发展困境有了一定认识。在撰写文书时,我们也把这些观点涵盖在文书中,作为G同学申请动机和职业目标的铺垫。

I could have settled for being a piano teacher, a profession that had begun since my second year of college. However, my understanding of music pedagogy and the arts education started to expand as I experimented with various teaching methods, including Orff Schulwerk, Dalcroze Education, and introducing games in classrooms. In particular, I was most impressed by how music can help with emotional and psychological issues, a fact that I learned from the Music Therapy class. Truly, the role of art goes beyond mere entertainment, and in this particular context, leading for the greater good for me means a continued effort in resisting plagiarism in show production, committing to producing high-quality performances, support the growth of performing arts in China, and draw more people to the theater.
