Since accounting is universally acknowledged as the language of business, the days of witnessing and participating in such accounting works kindled my academic interest in diving into economics and finance. Although accounting, finance, and economics are often taught and presented as separate disciplines, they influence each other and converge in some respects. Accounting acts as the language to interpret numbers, based on which financial tools are applied for a bigger picture of economics. In retrospect, I believe that is why I chose my undergraduate major and am determined to continue my graduate study.
Considering the significance of leadership for future business leaders, I also pay attention to enhancing my relevant abilities within campus activities. For instance, I joined my department’s Student Association and Learning Development Organization. My organization, coordination, and communication techniques are raised through activities such as seeking sponsorships, writing event proposals, and operating a WeChat Official Account. Meanwhile, as the class commissary in charge of sports, I encouraged my classmates to participate in sports activities, through which I became a person who never gave up easily. My traits, such as perseverance, were strengthened through doing sports, which emphasized such sportsmanship as self-control, courage, and persistence.
