Dr. Weiyi Lu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University. The main future research areas of the prospective student are experimental mechanics, including dynamic behavior of advanced nanofluidics-enabled composites, 3D-DIC, among others. Preference:
                   1) The candidate must have already earned or should soon earn the M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and  
                       Engineering, Chemical Engineering or in a closely related field.
                   2) Background in materials processing, materials characterization, experimental mechanics, and dynamic impacts is preferred
                   3) Experience in Matlab, LabView, and Solidworks
                   4) Fluent in English, good written and verbal communication skills
