Supplemental Application General Overview:
At Rotman Commerce, academic performance is an important criterion for admission. However, we also recognize that activities and experiences outside the classroom can be important indicators of the potential for success in the business world. Therefore, we ask all our applicants to complete a Supplemental Application.
The Supplemental Application gives us the opportunity to get to know you better by giving you the chance to showcase your unique experiences, strengths, and interests. We’re looking for a diverse group of engaged students with a commitment to excellence, a demonstrated capacity for leadership, strong communication skills, and a passion for business.

Deadline
The recommended deadline for early consideration is December 10, 2020, 11:59 PM EST. The final deadline to submit your Rotman Commerce Supplemental Application is February 1, 2021, 11:59 PM EST. All applicants are strongly encouraged to complete their Supplemental Application well in advance of the final deadline.

How It Works:
You will complete the Supplemental Application on the Kira Talent platform, Rotman Commerce’s external vendor for online interviews. Kira Talent uses cloud-based technology to store data. Before you begin your application, please ensure that you have read the Kira Talent Privacy Policy. Your submission will be kept on file for possible future review after initial assessment. If you have any concerns about completing this phase of your application, please contact Rotman Commerce by email at: rotmancommerce.utoronto.ca/inbox. The Kira Talent website also provides additional information on how to prepare for the assessment.
General Requirements and Advice:
• You should set aside at least 1 hour of uninterrupted time to complete the Supplemental Application.
• All technical troubleshooting is handled by Kira Talent customer support and is available 24/7. Contact information can be found on the Kira Talent website.

Structure and Content结构和内容:
Before you begin the official Supplemental Application, you will have unlimited practice opportunities. The practice questions are designed to help you familiarize yourself with the website and the process.

After you have finished your practice questions, you will have one chance to do the Supplemental Application.

For the first two questions, one written and one video question, you can prepare your answers in advance. 对于前两个问题（一个书面问题和一个视频问题），可以提前准备好答案。
• The first written question is: Please list two activities which you spent a significant amount of time on outside of class. Focus on activities from the last 4 years – they can be any kind of pursuit, including sports, clubs, employment, volunteer activities, research activities, or hobbies. For each activity, provide the following information: (1) briefly describe what you did, (2) state how long you were involved in the activity (in months or years), (3) if applicable, list any achievements, awards, leadership positions, etc. that you consider noteworthy. Use approximately 75 words for each activity (150 words total). You will have 20 minutes to respond to this question.

• For the second question, which is a video response, you will be asked to: (1) briefly introduce yourself, (2) tell us about one thing that you are passionate about, and (3) describe what unique perspectives or experiences you will bring to the Rotman Commerce community. You will have 45 seconds to record your answer. You will have the opportunity to practice your answer to this question during the practice session before you start the official Supplemental Application.

The subsequent three questions will be chosen at random from a question bank. There will be two written questions, with 20 minutes to respond to each one. For the final video question, you will have 60 seconds to prepare, and 60 seconds to record your answer.

Review each question carefully and be certain you are answering the question. In your written and video responses, make sure that your responses are logically organized and well-articulated.
After your Supplemental Application is submitted through Kira Talent, it may take up to 5 business days to be marked as complete on your Join U of T Portal.
