Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing is monitoring the situation with the spread of Novel Coronavirus very closely. Our top priority is to help to protect the health and safety of our candidates and their families, and of the staff in our centres.

We will do everything we can to minimise disruption for candidates, centres and the institutions using our tests, while complying fully with international best practice and the advice of national and local healthcare authorities.

As the information about COVID-19 is changing rapidly, we will provide regular updates on this webpage as the situation unfolds. We understand you will have concerns around whether or not our tests are taking place, therefore we have provided detailed information about our test sessions below:

Sixth Term Examination Paper (STEP)

Following the UK government announcement on 18 March that public examinations will not take place, we have been reviewing ways in which candidates can take STEP Mathematics safely, both within and outside the UK. See the latest updates to each individual STEP paper below.

STEP 1

STEP 1 will not go ahead. For candidates who have already registered for this test paper, please speak to your Exams Officer about arranging a refund. Centres will be contacted to ensure they do not accept any more registrations for STEP 1 and will also be given further information about refund arrangements.
