In light of the potential visa processing delays outside of everyone’s control, please read the below information if you currently have students that are expected to start in Term 1, 2018 at a Queensland Government school and have not yet been issued a student visa. This information is also important if you unsure whether your student will be able to commence the program as expected on Monday, 22 January 2018.
The Request to defer commencement form, along with the supporting evidence of compassionate or compelling circumstances (visa processing delay) must be received by EQI at least 7 days before a student’s expected commencement date.
For students expected to start in Term 1, 2018, the final day to receive the Request to defer commencement form is Monday, 15 January 2018.
For more information, please contact your Regional Manager who will be able to assist about what happens between the seven days and the original start of study if the visa is granted during that period.
