招聘信息
堪萨斯州立大学生物化学与分子物理系Dr. Erika Geisbrecht 实验室诚招2026全奖博士生。
实验室方向介绍
RESEARCH INTERESTS
The Geisbrecht Lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics (BMB) at Kansas State University (KSU) is seeking motivated students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree that encompasses research in the fields of cell biology and biochemistry. Our NIH-funded lab has a broad interest in understanding cellular processes that govern the formation and maintenance of neuromuscular tissues, especially in the context of disease and aging. In combination with genetic manipulations in the model organism Drosophila melanogaster, other approaches include advanced imaging analysis, molecular biology, and in vivo proteomics.
Successful candidates should have a B.S. or M.S. in a biology-related field and a strong work ethic. A competitive financial package consisting of a stipend, tuition-remission, and healthcare are provided to all accepted Ph.D. candidates. The research environment within the BMB graduate program is highly collaborative with diverse cultures, involving graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty members, and undergraduates with career development opportunities in a non-stressful, friendly working environment. KSU is located in Manhattan, Kansas in the beautiful Flint Hills region of northeast Kansas.
