Out of country students(excluding visit visas for study) granted entry clearance will not be given a vignette in their passport. They will only receive an E visa that they access via their UK VI account.

This means that students will benefit from only attending the VAC see on one date to enrol their biometrics their passport will be scanned and be available for collection within three hours of their appointment.

This does not apply to dependent applicants on those routes partners and children applying as dependents will continue to receive a vignette as well as an eVisa.

Students granted permission on visit visas cannot answer access an E visa yet they will still be issued with the visa vignettes in their passport and may need to return to the VAC to collect it unless they have chosen Courier service.

What students will need to do学生须知事项：
- Out of country students granted entry clearance (except for students on visit visas) must access and check their eVisa when they receive their application outcome e-mail.
- From mid-July if any of the details on the eVsa are incorrect, they should contact the Home Office before travel to report the error.

Students should ensure their valid travel document EG passport is linked to their UKVI account before travel to the UK. Personal details can be updated through their UKVI accounts such as their contact details or current passport details.
