佛罗里达大学新闻学(Journalism)专业研究生只开设有以下一个学位项目，即——新闻学大众传播硕士(Master of Arts in Mass Communication – Journalism)：
为期2年，要求申请者本科毕业，不限专业，亦无工作经验要求。该项目要求申请者递交一份补充申请表(见下方外部链接)，写作样本可选，不强制递交。欲申请TA、RA奖学金(Graduate Assistantship)的学生还需要单独递交一份奖学金申请表，但事实上，该奖学金一般只对PhD学生开放。
佛罗里达大学新闻学硕士项目，是一个不含广播新闻学(non-broadcast journalism)的新闻学专业，涉及的内容包括报纸、杂志、在线出版等。其下另有一个细分的专业方向——传播法(Communications Law)，与攻读该专业方向的学生，可以在入学之后与导师商量入读。
