1、电脑游戏不叫computer game，地道的说法是video game。
补充：One is on the computer and the other is on the tv, but in spoken english most call both video games.
2、酒可以用booze来表示，不过是指喝的酒比较多的情况下。
比如：I drank way too much booze last night.
3、钱不一定用dollar可以用buck来表示。
比如：Do you have a few bucks u can loan me.
4、形容好听的音乐用groovy music。
5、晒太阳用catch some rays比bask更地道。
6、墨镜可以用shades。
比如：Those are really cool shades u r wearing!
7、打篮球可以不用play basketball，用shoot hoops会更好。
8、擅长可以用pro。
比如：She is really pro at basketball.
9、喧闹可以不用noise用racket。
比如：Small kids can really make a lot of racket.
10、形容抽烟、吸毒很嗨的状态用stoned。
11、对方说话没听清很少用pardon而要说Sorry，What did u say?
12、被什么打鸡血了可以说pumped (up)。
比如：I'm really pumped for the holiday break.
13、糟糕可以用suck替代terrible。
比如：The whole trip sucked.
14、失败可以用bust替代failure。
比如：It was a total bust.
15、solid这个词很活，形容连续的几天可用solid days。
比如：It's been raining for seven solid days.
16、朋友可以用pal来代替friend（pal有点发小、哥们儿的意思，一般是同性之间称呼）。
17、catch u later可以替代see u later。
18、computer froze=电脑死机了。
19、I'm browsing=我只是随便看看（购物的时候）
20、What's the catch? 有什么内幕？
21、Party animal. Party狂（喜欢参加舞会的人）。
22、Pain in the neck.=Pain in the ass. 讨厌的东西、人或事。
23、Skeleton in the closet. 家丑。
24、Don't get on my nerve! 别把我惹火了！
25、A faint chance.=A poor chance. 机会很小。
26、I am racking my brains. 我正在绞尽脑汁。
27、She's a real drag. 她真有点碍手碍脚。
28、出国前不知道谁教的什么AA制叫go Dutch...英国人表示完全不知道着什么意思，或者美国人这么说？还是直接用split the bill比较多。
29、买可乐的时候可口可乐叫coke，无糖的时diet，拜师叫pepsi，他们不会但说一个可乐（cola）。
30、番茄酱是ketchup，不是tomato sauce，英国还不错的酱gravy（肉酱，这属于在餐厅里很少见到，但是去朋友家的时候大家都特别喜欢的），garlic sauce（大蒜酱），还有国内人迟牛排喜欢的黑椒酱pepper corn。
