Curriculum
This is a very flexible programme that offers a wide range of subject choices in the fields of accounting and finance.
In Years One and Two, students study the university core curriculum with subjects such as Language and Communication, Freshman Seminar, Leadership & Intra-Personal Development, Service-Learning, and Healthy Lifestyle, as well as fundamental business subjects in accounting, business law, economics, finance, information technology, management and marketing.
In Years Three and Four, they continue their general business education, by taking such subjects as Strategic Management and Corporate Social Responsibility, and also study accounting and finance in greater depth through such subjects as Intermediate Accounting, Business Valuation, Company Law, Corporate Finance and Investment. Students also have the opportunity to choose Electives from a range of accounting and finance subjects.
Along with a Major in Accounting and Finance, students can also take a Minor, either in another business discipline or in a non-business discipline, if they wish.

Subject to accreditation assessment, graduates with a BBA(Hons) in Accounting and Finance satisfy the necessary requirements to sit for the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) qualification programme, for CPA Programme of CPA Australia and for Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examination. They may also obtain maximum exemptions for 9 Papers of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) examination if they have taken the relevant subjects.
Career Prospects
Graduates with a BBA(Hons) in Accounting and Finance have a great variety of job opportunities in accounting and finance, such as in accounting firms, brokerage houses and the banking and financial planning industries. Given that Hong Kong is a financial centre and that the Chinese mainland has a huge demand for accounting and finance professionals, the opportunities in both locations are expected to be very great for students graduating from the programme.
