Programme structure
You will take four core and two optional courses and complete a substantial independent piece of work, normally in the form of a dissertation.
Core courses
- Corporate finance and investment
- Financial services
- International finance and money
- Modern theory of banking and finance.
Optional courses may include
- Advanced portfolio analysis (Portfolio analysis and investment is a co-requisite for this course)
- Basic econometrics
- Financial analysis and equity valuation
- Financial institutions and markets in developing countries
- International banking and financial markets
- International capital markets
- International financial management
- International trade
- Monetary policy and the role of central banks
- Portfolio analysis and investment
- The law and economics of sovereign debt regulation.

Entry requirements
2.1 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent (eg, a GPA of 3.0 or above) in economics or finance, or a related discipline with at least four courses in economics and/or finance.
International students with academic qualifications below those required should contact our partner institution, Glasgow International College, who offer a range of pre-Masters courses.
