10 Most Commonly Asked Interview Questions for International Students
1. Why do you want to study in the US, and why do you want to attend SCHOOL NAME in particular?
2. Describe yourself as a student. What are you best traits as a student, etc?
3. What do you do when you need help with something? What do you do when something is difficult?
4. What do you do for fun? Could you tell me about your personal interests?
5. Tell me a little bit about your Mother and Father. Do they want you to come to the US for school or is it your decision (or is it a combination of the both)?
6. If I were to ask your best friend about you, what do you think they would say?
7. If you came to SCHOOL NAME, what would you take advantage of the most?
8. Could you tell me a little bit about your educational background? What type of school do you go to now? What do you like about it? What do you not like about it?
9. (For Students with Special Skills) If you came to SCHOOL NAME would you want to teach your classmates your special skill?
10.Bring up a specific program that you offer at your school and gauge the student’s interest. See if they knew anything about the program or if they showed interest in learning more.
