美国本科专业系列之——教育学专业

    美国教育学专业历史悠久，培养了众多具有突出贡献的人才。美国教育学专业分类极广，主要包括教学方向、语言学方向、教育心理学方向、宏观教育研究、教育技术方向以及学校管理方向。跟教师相关最贴近的申请专业主要有教育学、心理学、教育管理、初等教育、特殊教育等专业。

    在本科阶段，学生前两年大多学习公共课程，与教育相关的主要是通识教育课程和教育基础课程，主要有教育心理学、普通心理学、教育统计学、教育管理学等。第三、四个学年主要学习专业教育课程和教育实习课程。这类课程不同院校、不同专业都有很大区别，学生可以根据所学专业具体选择。以初等教育专业为例，部分院校会开设早期儿童教育入门、语言与阅读教学、课堂管理、小学社会学等课程。硕士、博士阶段则根据专业及项目有所区别。

　　由于教育学专业下分支较多，很多教育学专业的学生在毕业以后并不一定从事教学工作。教育学毕业生根据所学具体专业的不同，大致有几种就业方向：

　　教学方向--随着中小学老师待遇的不断提高，以及教师职业的稳定优势，越来越多的学生选择教学领域作为事业开端，当然该专业的目标就是为中小学培养优秀的教师。语言学方向---学生在毕业后大都从事与语言教学相关的工作，如学习TESOL专业的学生会从事英语教学工作，学习Bilingual/Bicultural Education的学生主要从事双语方面的教学工作。教育心理学方向---学生一般会应聘学校的心理导师职位。宏观教育方向----学生由于具备教育史、教育经济学、人类教育学等理论性较强的知识，这类毕业生一般会选择去高校就业。不过，由于很多高校要求博士学历，因此，也有一部分该专业的毕业生会选择去与教育领域相关的研究机构工作。教育技术方向的毕业生主要从事教学媒体和教学系统的设计、开发、运用、管理等方面的工作。学校管理方向的学生毕业后主要从事中小学以及高校的管理类工作，也有一部分毕业生会进入教育行政单位。
