We are writing to reassure you that, like some other British Universities, we are exploring options to assist students from China with travel arrangements.

Newcastle University is currently exploring a range of options to provide additional chartered flights. This includes working with a group of universities in the north of England and Hainan Airlines to charter aircraft to transport students directly from China to the north of England. We are also working closely with travel consultants and Newcastle International Airport to ensure we have a full understanding of the availability of scheduled flights available to Chinese students.

We will shortly be contacting students holding offers to study at Newcastle and asking them for their opinions on travel via a short survey. The questions will concern issues such as their preferred airport of departure in China and preferred departure date.
