从复旦到耶鲁：医学学霸的圆梦之路-新东方前途出国

Equipped with theoretical knowledge, I went to intern at Jing’an District Central Hospital of Shanghai for one semester. At that period, I rotated among the Department of Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynecology and Pediatrics, helping the resident doctors inquiry and record the patients’ case history and attend operations as an assistant. When I interned in the Department of Pediatrics, it happened to be winter when children's infectious diseases are prevalent. Many children in the hospital suffered from infectious diseases such as pneumonia, infectious mononucleosis, flu and tonsillitis while most of them were infected by classmates or family members. Then they also became a source of infection to spread the pathogen to more people, thus doing much harm to the health of children and adults. In addition, I found that people lacked basic knowledge about some infectious diseases, especially sexually transmitted diseases like AIDS and syphilis. Moreover, their long-held stereotypes made them conceal the related medical history during the consultation, which increased the risk of disease transmission. These clinical experiences have further aroused my interest in disease prevention and control. Therefore, I hope to receive more professional education at the master's level, explore the mechanisms and conditions of disease occurrence and predict the occurrence trend.
