坚守初心，独立努力，迎来哈佛录取-新东方前途出国

 

从头脑风暴初期交流可以看出这位同学是独立自主、态度鲜明的学生。纽约大学艺术史的求学经历见证了她对于文化研究的热情和钻研精神。高绩点、优秀毕业论文及本科期间两篇论文发表足以证明她优秀的学术能力。

 

优秀的学生总是自律且严格要求自己。课余她会参加相关实习去了解真实社会中的艺术追求并反思自身的不足。通过一段段丰富的实习经历，如负责场馆3D空间模拟及展示，加深自我艺术造诣的同时也为她日后文化史的钻研夯实了基础。

 

不甘于成为一名平凡的学霸，这位同学精彩纷呈的课外活动为她的申请留下了浓墨重彩的一笔！她积极参加纽约大学艺术史期刊的校稿，在Fine Arts Society中担任联合主席，这些经历让她更清晰地认知自己内心深处的追求：文化研究。

Aside from my fascination with East Asian culture, my aspirations to learn, to research, to teach and to have intellectual conversations with other scholars fuel my goal of pursuing graduate study in Harvard’s Regional Studies-East Asia program in preparation for a Ph.D. program and a career in academia. I practice these skills — researching, teaching, having discussions - not only in classrooms but also during my internships. When I was interning at the China Institute Gallery in New York City, I researched Chinese bird-and-flowering paintings while volunteering to offer guided tours during which I talked about subjects beyond the artworks: Buddhist doctrines, tools used for making traditional Chinese paintings and the rapid modernization of post-revolution China. The most satisfying part was seeing the spark of curiosity and interest in the audiences’ eyes and engaging in conversations or debates with visitors about Chinese art and culture after the tours. These experiences enlightened not only the visitors but also myself, as I learned tremendously from them, and made me aware that my bigger purpose in life is to open up new perspectives and intellectual discussions through research and teaching, not unlike the way Professor Matteini changed my view of the world through that picture of the limitless sea.
