The Master in Interdisciplinary Data Science (MIDS) admissions review committee requests that all applicants provide some casual “get to know you” information. In the space below, please describe 10 interesting facts about yourself. Your response should be no more than 200 words in total.
Note: If you are submitting applications for both the Pratt Master of Engineering and the Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Data Science, please record your Master of Engineering video introduction through the application system. Contact the Graduate School for instructions on how to submit the two-minute video essay for the Interdisciplinary Data Science application.
Please prepare a 2-minute video in which you describe the problem you are most excited to solve using data science. When you are ready, record your video using the Video Essay tab to the left.
First, you will be asked to complete a test recording. The test recording is required, and you will not be able to begin the official recording until the test recording is completed and confirmed. You may test as many times as you like by choosing “Start over” to re-test.
Once you’ve confirmed your test recording, you will be taken to the official recording screen and be given instructions for recording. The prompt at the top of this page will appear on the recording screen. You will have 60 seconds to prepare before the recording automatically begins, but you may begin sooner by clicking “Start Recording.” Once recording has begun, the recorder will remain running for 360 seconds, but please remember the prompt asks for a two-minute video. You may stop the recording after you complete your two-minute video by clicking the “Stop Recording” button.
Not including testing, you will have only three attempts to complete the official recording process.
