The Master of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management program at the University of Florida prepares students to thrive in the age of big data. | APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
|
1.) STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The essay should be completed as part of the online application. Please emphasize:
Your motivation for applying to the program
Why you think you are a good candidate for the program
How the program fits into your future goals
Use the essay as an opportunity to highlight what you think we cannot assess from the other application materials. The ideal length for the essay is between 400-600 words.
2.) RÉSUMÉ
The resume helps provide us with a complete picture of each applicant. Please elaborate on your duties and responsibilities, as well as leadership activities and time commitments outside of the classroom. The resume should be limited to one page and Business Career Services can provide resources and feedback to help you create it.

3.) OFFICIAL GRE/GMAT TEST SCORES FOR GRADUATE SCHOOL ADMISSION
The ISOM Department requires Combined Degree applicants to complete the quantitative and verbal sections of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). We have no preference as to what test applicants choose to take. Test scores will be used as part of the holistic application review process. Test scores must be sent directly from the testing organization to UF.
GMAT: A score between 550-620 is considered good. The minimum required score is a 465. We do not consider the writing or integrated reasoning sections.

University of Florida students can obtain a GMAT discount code.
GRE: We consider a 300-310 a good score range. The minimum required for the Verbal section is 140. The minimum required overall score is a 295. We do not consider the writing section.

UF students: the UF Teaching Center and Writing Studio offer GRE preparation workshops and tutoring each semester.

4.) OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS
UF undergraduates do not need to send copies of their transcripts.
