The following University of Auckland Engineering programmes will not be accepting applications for 2027 entry:
- Materials Engineering (Masters, PGDip, PGCert)
- Infrastructure Asset Management (Masters, PGDip, PGCert)
- Food Engineering specialisations (Masters, PGDip, PGCert)
- Engineering Project Management (Health) (Masters)
- Water Engineering – Civil (Masters, PGDip, PGCert)
Alternative programmes to consider
- Chemical & Materials Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Civil Engineering specialisations
- Master of Engineering Management
Master of Engineering Project Management

Please encourage your applicants to accept their offers of place (both Conditional and Firm) before the expiry date stated on the offer letter. Some programmes have shorter expiry dates to assist with cohort size management.
Deferral requirement
If a student does not hold a valid visa by the start of the semester, they will be required to defer to the next available intake.

Students who have not yet received their visa approval are at significant risk of being unable to begin their programme on time. We strongly urge students to follow up immediately with Immigration New Zealand (INZ), where applicable. Processing times for student visa applications can vary significantly, as each application is assessed individually. The University is unable to influence or expedite visa processing.
