态度端正 | Good attitude

没有人真的喜欢表情符号和微笑符。请相信这一点。大家写邮件的对象是教授导师呀，主宰你论文成绩的人啊，还是要以严肃谨慎的态度对待每一封邮件的。
12.“This is not Facebook. Don’t write the professor in the way you’d write on your friend’s wall.”
这不是Facebook。你写给教授的邮件不要像你在朋友留言板上的留言一样。
重点提醒：千万不要和你的教授开玩笑，无论多好笑都不可以。除非你和教授导师的关系已经很好了，比如经常下课后去酒吧小酌两杯，不然尽量避免开玩笑，因为世界各国人民笑点略不同，要是教授把你的玩笑当真就悲剧了。

这不是写即时消息…… 所以不要像写短消息一样用单词的缩写形式。再次强调，这是正式邮件，不是Facebook。

不要太过殷勤。在邮件中表现出礼貌和友好很重要，但是要适度，不要搞得像是在阿谀奉承。要做到不卑不亢，在知识面前，人人平等。
避免拼写错误 | Avoid spelling mistakes
15.“Spelling mistakes make you look like a doofus. So always use the spell check, and proofread your e-mail, too.”
拼写错误是非常低级的，所以每次都要使用拼写检查，并校对你的邮件两遍。
表示感谢 | Express thankfulness
16.“Signoffs and signatures count. Always end by thanking the professor for his or her time, and closing with “Best wishes” or “Regards” (or some other relatively formal, but friendly, closing). And always sign with your (entire) real name, not some wacky nickname like Ry-Ry or Biff.”
最后的签名很重要。每封邮件最后都要感谢教授抽出时间来帮助你，并以“Best Wishes或Regards”来结尾（或者其它相关的正式语，但是要用友好的语气）。然后签上你的全名，而不是什么昵称。
💡 委员提醒：大家都知道英国人是很讲究礼仪礼貌的。最后，一般都会客套一两句，比如：希望对方早点回信——“Expecting to hear from you soon!”；祝福对方的——“Best Wishes!”；希望和对方保持联系的——“Write as often as you can, for I am looking forward to reading your every letter.”（以上仅供参考哦，还是要根据实际情况来。）结尾祝福语大家可以参考以下几种:：“Best Regard”、“Kind Regard”、“Best Wishes”、“Good Luck”、“Bless you dear”、“Best of luck”、“All the best”等等。另外，大家可以在平时收邮件的时候留意一下，对方写的是什么。
