当天稍早前，特朗普与普京进行了超过两个半小时的小范围会谈。
US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared at a joint press conference on Friday after concluding their talks in Anchorage, the US state of Alaska.
The talks, held at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in the city of Anchorage, lasted about three hours.
It was the first face-to-face meeting between the presidents of the two countries since 2021.
普京表示，过去一段时期，美俄双方关系非常艰难，已经跌至冷战以来的最低点，这对俄罗斯，也对整个世界都是不利的。普京称，已与特朗普建立了非常好的直接联系，看到了特朗普想要理解冲突本质的意愿，俄罗斯真诚地希望俄乌结束冲突。普京还表示，他同意特朗普的观点，乌克兰的安全必须得到保障，希望相互理解能为乌克兰带来和平。
Putin said that he agrees that the security of Ukraine should be ensured.
“I agree with Trump that the security of Ukraine must be secured, and of course, we are ready to work on that,” he said.
“President Trump and I established a very good, businesslike and trusting contact. And I have every reason to believe that by moving along this path, we can reach – and the sooner, the better – the end of the conflict in Ukraine,” he said.
普京还称，俄美达成的协议不仅会成为解决乌克兰问题的起点，也将推动美俄恢复务实和建设性的关系。他说，重回合作轨道非常重要，美俄两国的商业投资潜力巨大。普京感谢特朗普在对话中表达的“美好祝愿”和“可信赖”的态度。
美国总统特朗普在发布会上表示，他稍晚会致电北约以及一些他认为合适的人，当然也会给乌克兰总统泽连斯基打电话，通报今天的会晤情况。
Trump said he planned to speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders soon to brief them on the discussions.
特朗普表示，希望美俄双方在未来能有良好且富有成效的会晤。对此，普京回应，下次会晤可在莫斯科进行。
