　　LSCT123 – MA in Landscape Architecture

　　LSCT124 – MA in Landscape Studies

　　课程结构的变化与提升:

　　We are writing to welcome you and to let you know about some improvements to the curriculum and 

course structure for the first year of the two year MA in Landscape Architecture (LSCT123) and for the 

one year MA in Landscape Studies (LSCT124).

　　教学原则和目标：

　　· Strengthens LA as the core integrated and integrative discipline, and de-clutters curriculum, by reducing number of modules to four key project-based, with intensive, improved theory and methodological content, and research studies.

　  · Introduces the breadth of Landscape Architecture across design, planning and management while 

also providing a curriculum that is flexible and cutting edge in taking full advantage of the department’s

 latest research, live projects, events, and international visiting academics and practitioners

　　· Encourages and supports independent thinkers and critical, reflexive practitioners through continuing

 to develop new teaching and learning approaches, innovative content, and assessment through journal, portfolio,

 and review, and in providing increased independent study time, and opportunities for greater involvement in 

live research and events.

　　· Strengthens progressive LA methods for design, survey, planning, vegetation design, media, etc

　　· Strengthens and increases landscape planning/strategic masterplanning, ecological and urbanism
content

　　· Strengthens integrated approaches to water, topographic, suds and construction design

　　· Strengthens theory and studies in arts, history, culture and, society and ethics

· Brings forward research methods courses so that dissertation, and research studies may be addressed 

earlier and be built upon

　　The improvements will take effect from the start of the 2014/15 academic year.

    The duration of the course remains the same, and the number of credits

required to achieve the degree of MA in Landscape Architecture and MA In 

Landscape Studies remains the same.
