Megan Guy named executive director of Executive Education

Megan Guy, professor of practice in business and legal studies, has been appointed as the Freeman School’s new executive director of Executive and Professional Education.

In that role, Guy will draw upon her 20-year track record in law and strategic planning to lead the development of non-degree executive programming at the Stewart Center CBD, the Freeman School’s state-of-the art facility in downtown New Orleans. Prior to joining Freeman in 2019, Guy served as an associate and partner at Adams & Reese, LLP. In her 13 years of legal practice, Guy represented a broad range of clients including multinational pharmaceutical companies, oil and gas exploration and service companies, healthcare providers and insurers.

In 2012, Guy left her legal practice to obtain an MBA from the Freeman School. After graduating in 2014, she served as executive counsel at Gillis, Ellis & Baker, advising the growing insurance brokerage on long-term strategic planning and development, as well as legal and compliance issues.

“I am incredibly excited to assume this new role and lead the future of executive education at the Freeman School,” says Guy. “The need to innovate how we deliver professional education has never been greater, and the opportunity that lies ahead for the Stewart Center is enormous. The Office of Executive and Professional Education is a newly launched division of the Freeman School’s Stewart Center for Executive Education dedicated to creating and delivering short-term, non-degree programs for companies, executives and working professionals.
