　　The Executive Education program at Michigan Ross is currently accepting applications for its new Women’s Empowerment Scholarship. The new scholarship from Michigan Ross aims to develop and enhance the leadership skills of Gulf Cooperation Council business executives with a commitment to gender diversity and women's empowerment.

　　Michigan Ross has a long history of training leaders in the GCC, a political and economic alliance of six Middle Eastern countries: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.

　　“The GCC is in the midst of an incredible transformation, which represents an amazing opportunity for the region’s leaders,” Melanie Weaver Barnett, the university’s chief executive education officer, said. “We recognize the powerful role gender diversity plays and the talent and perspective that those who support such diversity bring to the table. This scholarship allows us to have a greater role in inspiring positive change and evolution of women’s empowerment across the Middle East.”

　　The scholarship, which can be applied to any of the business school’s open-enrollment Executive Education programs, will cover tuition, instructional materials, living accommodations, and select meals.

　　“In this era of digital transformation, new skills and capabilities are vital for organizations to survive,” Weaver Barnett added. “Ensuring that the workforce is well equipped to help ensure the GCC's success in 2030 and beyond should be a priority for all of us. We are looking for strong, aspiring women and men to lead this transformation and promote women’s empowerment in the workforce.”

　　The scholarship’s application closes on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.
