DISCONTINUED PROGRAM
From Semester 1, 2015 Melbourne Business School will no longer offer the Master of Accounting. In response to a high level of demand from our current and prospective students we have created a new degree for students with an undergraduate business/commerce background which provides in-depth knowledge in both accounting and finance. Students who may previously have enrolled in the Master of Accounting will now be encouraged to consider the new Master of Management (Accounting and Finance), which will cover similar content to the Master of Accounting, with the addition of in-depth study in finance.
Students who are currently holding an offer into the Master of Accounting for Semester 1, 2015 will receive a letter informing them of the discontinuation and encouraging them to transfer into the Master of Management (Accounting and Finance). If these students still wish to pursue the Master of Accounting their offers will be honoured.
CHANGES IN OUR GRADUATE RESEARCH DEGREE PATHWAYS
From Semester 1, 2015 graduate research studies in management or marketing will be offered as a four-year doctoral program, in line with our doctoral programs in accounting, economics and finance. Students will enter via the Master of Commerce (Management) or Master of Commerce (Marketing) and progress after one year of coursework into the three-year PhD program, which consists of a further one year of coursework followed by two years of research. mbs.unimelb.edu.au
