美国服装设计专业解析-新东方前途出国

 

最近接触了很多艺术学生, 受市场动态，名人效应等等一些因素的影响，很多学生对潮流这个词非常敏感，以至于很多艺术或者非艺术学生对于服装设计这个专业越来越感兴趣。美国的时装设计，远远比想象中要复杂，课程设置面广，申请难度大，这里整理了一些关于服装设计专业的信息，供大家做了解。  

  

美国开设服装设计类的专业有两个类别：  

1　MA 学位 Fashion Studies 之类。研究设计、生产和销售各类服装及其他纺织产品以及纺织与服装的历史、社会价值以及经济效益文科，侧重研究在某种文化，市场动态背景下的，衣服面料，设计理念，适合人群，甚至有涉足推广方案等等。是一门把设计理念和内容做结合的，多科领域的专业。  

    2 Fashion Design MFA。  

时装设计(Fashion Design)或称服装设计、时尚设计，是当今世界上改变最快的设计行业之一，与其他设计不同，服装设计以季为期，更新服装设计风格和潮流。  

主要可以学习如何编织、勾圈、钩针、打印和丝网等;将传统手工工艺和染色、色素以及图案设计等基础方法，还可以通过学习其历史和当代纺织服装的发展趋势，帮助了解与认识业界的背景;

申请要求：  

  对于美国开设的服装设计专业，除了需要准备托福或雅思成绩之外，更重要的是建立在对学校的了解基础上，提前准备作品集。  

  作品集的要求 以Parsons 为例  

Submit 25 to 40 images that provide a clear representation of your concepts and skills as a designer. Applicants can submit images of the following: pages from sketchbooks (showing in-depth research and design development work), final illustrations, technical drawings, artwork from various design projects, textile/knitwear work, fabric use, and/or photographs of clothing collections that you have developed.  

作品集蕴含的内容，不仅仅是线条图，素描，手工画，不仅仅需要体现绘画的基本功，还需要从不同的设计项目中来体现学生对选料，设计理念，适合人群的考虑等等。

1 帕森斯设计学院 Parsons The New School for Design  

开设 Fashion Studies（MA）和 Fashion Design and Society (MFA)两个专业  

2 时装技术学院 Fashion Institute of Technology  

开设专业： Exhibition Design；Fashion and Textile Studies   

雅思6.5  

作品：Submission of 20 pieces of design work to include: Samples of drafting in AutoCad or Vectorworks; proficiency in Creative Suite programs including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop; 3D digital rendering in 3D Studio Max, Sketchup or other programs. Additional work in sketching, hand rendering, other software applications  a plus. If you have examples of other forms of artistic pursuits such as photography, painting, sculpture or media, please include samples in your portfolio. Creative expression, looseness and playfulness are very appreciated in the candidate.  

　  

3 罗德岛设计学院 Rhode Island School for Design  

专业： Textiles， MFA纺织专业  

The first year of the MFA program focuses on enriching students’ creative background and expanding their skills, including the use of digital technology in design. The second year allows for more individual exploration of weaving, knitting or surface design, with the final semester culminating in a thesis project that entails both studio work and writing.

Master of Design (MDes) in Fashion, Body and Garment  

托福85 雅思6.5  

作品要求：Submit a minimum of five different projects documented in up to 20 images, or up to 10 minutes of time-based work, or a combination of the two as appropriate.  

总体而言，服装设计这个专业并不好申请，读起来也并不轻松，所以如果光是对时尚，潮流和追星感兴趣的学生就慎入。 还是大一，大二的学生，可以多收集些服装设计相关的信息，提早做好充分的准备。
