M.S. in Mechanical Engineering

项目简介:
96-unit
Today’s mechanical engineers are working across technologies and disciplines to solve some of society’s toughest problems.
The department answers the need for professional skills and talents with an intense program that provides depth in fundamental mechanical engineering areas and breadth in emerging cross-boundary areas of mechanical engineering leadership.
Academic activity is balanced with hands-on research opportunities to give our graduates the ability to frame complex problems and collaborate widely across organizations.
In this program, students take graduate-level courses to build on the fundamentals they learned in their undergraduate mechanical engineering program.
Students choose from a range of fundamental and specialized courses. In-class project experiences allow students to work in teams and apply their skills to real world problems. They may also opt to conduct a small amount of research.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of the many co-curricular engineering and design experiences on campus (such as MechE Master Makers, the MechE Graduate Research Symposium, other college or university-wide research symposia, and organizations such as Carnegie Mellon Racing).
