约翰斯·霍普金斯大学（Johns Hopkins University，简称:Hopkins或JHU）创 立于1876年，是私立综合研究型大学，位于美国马里兰州巴尔的摩市。美国第 一所研究型大学，也是北美学术联盟美国大学协会（AAU）的14所创始校之 一。
约翰霍普金斯大学的怀特工程学院 Whiting School of Engineering起步于 1913年，于1919年作为独立学院创建，至1937年时，已经培养了1000+拥有 工程学位的学生，1961年工程学院更名为霍普金斯工程科学学院，直到1979 年，工程学院最终形成独立的学术分支，更名为怀特工程学院。
