在获得这项荣誉后，萨里大学学生联合会主席Mustie Smith接受记者采访：“It is amazing that our University has been awarded University of the Year for Student Experience, as it is a great reflection of the relationship we as a Union have with the University. Student needs are changing every year, and as a Union we constantly meet with senior members of staff within the University to feedback on how the student experience can be improved.”
