Lisa Hampton

Lisa has been a Literature and Creative Writing teacher since 2010. The holder of a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from UC Berkeley . Her research interests include medieval women writers, poetry, and the Arthurian legend. Before becoming a teacher, Lisa worked for AVID,Advancement Via Individual Determination, a global non-profit dedicated to closing the achievement gap by preparing all students for college and postsecondary opportunities.

I am a father, husband, and teacher - and have been teaching history for 9 years. I attended Queensland University of Technology, where I studied History and Education.  I live with my wonderful wife Jessic and our two sons, Noah and Avery.  I first discovered the power of history in my youth, by tracing the influences of my favorite rock bands, and spending weekends exploring the Historical Winnipeg.  At age seventeen, I spent just under three weeks in Europe, and it cemented my passion for all things historical.
