Master of Arts in Personal Finance Education
The Master of Arts in Personal Finance Education [MA(PFE)] aims to enhance educational value of financial literacy through the employment of particular courses that explore the nexus between theory and practice, while simultaneously introducing others which aim to provide participants with broad base knowledge in finance. Graduating participants are given the tools to enable them to be professionally finance educators, thereby transforming their knowledge to suit market and individual needs. Specifically, the programme focuses on market needs and changes, financial knowledge with analytical skills and education is viewed as being essential as practicing financial educators of the future are required to operate effectively in the three areas of education, business, and society. Consequently, a fundamental objective of the MA(PFE) is for participants to contextualise what they have learned and practiced within the classroom and apply with educational context to people with diverse financial needs and goals. Participants will be given opportunities to gain practical and first-hand experience in transferring financial knowledge to individuals.
