A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF GRADUATE STUDIES
Though just this week we celebrated the first official day of summer here in Worcester, we are always thinking about the fall and the start of classes. We know you are, too. WPI’s leadership team is working alongside President Laurie Leshin to formulate a safe and supportive way to bring our community together in the fall. We will know more after July 1 and will, of course, keep you posted on decisions that impact you regarding re-opening, course delivery, and other important items.
To our students outside the United States: We're checking in to clarify a recent announcement that may have made headlines where you are. On June 22, President Donald Trump issued an executive order suspending entry to aliens presenting a risk to the US labor market. You can read the official order here:https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspending-entry-aliens-present-risk-u-s-labor-market-following-coronavirus-outbreak/.
Please know that this order does NOT impact students entering the U.S. on an F or J visa for study at a U.S. institution or any student that is currently in the U.S. on a student visa. If you have any questions or are concerned about your individual status, please contact our colleagues at WPI’s International House at IH@wpi.edu.
