Postgraduate English language requirements
You are eligible to apply for the Pre-sessional English language course if:
- Your first language is not English;
- You have an offer containing an English language condition to study a degree at the University of Warwick for entry in academic year 2020/21;
- You must meet all other conditions of your main degree offer by a date to be confirmed, to be eligible to join the Pre-sessional English language course;
- You meet the English language requirements outlined below.
- If you have applied to study a WMG Master's Degree course you are not eligible to take this course if you have already completed 1 or more years Bachelor study in a majority English speaking country (including the UK). Applicants studying their final year only in the UK (and have been unable to complete this study from within the UK) are eligible to apply for the Pre-sessional English course. Note that if you have studied in the UK (or other English speaking country) at Bachelors level or above for more than one academic year within the last 3 years, then you are not eligible for a place on the pre-sessional English course.
However, applicants who were due to study their final year only in the UK (and have been unable to complete this study within the UK) will now be permitted to enrol on the Pre-sessional English Course. This includes students who have undertaken 2+1 or 3+1 programmes. You must still provide the necessary IELTS or other scores in order to meet the entry requirements.

Course structure
The course will include at least 2 hours per day (10 hours per week) of interactive engagement with classmates and the class tutor. There will be pre-class set work and post-class activities amounting to 12-14 hours per week, plus additional homework relating to the assessed project and presentation.
