During the first semester International Recruitment Team colleagues may well have updated you on the new deposit requirement that the University is implementing for prospective postgraduate taught (i.e. masters) students seeking entry in the 2021/22 academic year.

Under this new requirement international students issued an offer to study a postgraduate taught programme are required to accept their offer and pay a non-refundable tuition fee deposit of £2,000 GBP to secure their place at the University for September 2021. The deposit payment will subsequently be deducted from the tuition fees owed by the student at registration. This requirement applies to all postgraduate taught programmes at the University. The implementation of this deposit scheme is in line with similar requirements at other UK universities and is designed to minimise the chance that any places on these sought after programmes are lost to offer holders who may subsequently fail to enrol for unaccepted reasons.

The deposit payments must be received by the deadline date specified in the applicant portal (or on the student’s offer letter). Failure to pay the deposit by the required date may result in the offer being withdrawn. Please note that there are varying deadlines, outlined below (this is partly because our Business School is implementing a ‘selected admissions’ progress for some courses as outlined on our website:
