Summer Pre-sessional EAP application deadline: 5th May 2017
Programme offers from the University of Edinburgh specify an overall entry score with a minimum on
each part of the test (e.g. IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall band score 6.5
with nothing less than 6.0 in each part). It is the responsibility of students to make sure they understand
the requirements of their offers. The table below shows the minimum amount of class time
recommended to achieve your target score. It is important to remember that College entry levels
represent a basic level for university study. We strongly recommend you to study for four weeks, even if
you have achieved a fully satisfactory entry score.
For students requiring 6.5 International English Language Testing System (with at least 6.0 on all
