University of York ranked 28th in THE World's Most International Universities
(Times Higher Education 2017)
The THE ranking took into account a number of factors including international staff, students and co-authors on academic papers.
York is ranked 12th in the UK for its internationalisation.
Professor Saul Tendler, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost, said: “This ranking reflects York’s outward-looking approach.
“We encourage a global mindset in our students, reflected in their curriculum, the opportunities they have for study and work abroad, and their preparation for future careers.
“We also have an international community – with staff and students from over 100 different countries. And our research has a worldwide impact – work on infectious diseases, urbanisation, heritage management, atmospheric pollution and biofuels is undertaken with international partners.”
