The Orientation Programme is especially developed for students who are new to the UK and do not speak English as their first language. You will find information about life at UCB, how you will be expected to work and study and how assignments and essay work should be presented.
It also gives you the chance to meet fellow students and to see something of the social and cultural life of the UK.
Students are not charged a tuition fee for this programme if they progress directly to a full-time course with us. Please note: there will be an accommodation fee for those staying in our halls of residence.
To register for the International Orientation Programme for September 2016, please complete this online confirmation form by following this link: http://admissions.ucb.ac.uk/orientation
Collection of your visa (BRP) – For Non-EU students only
If you are coming to the UK for the first time, your visa should only valid for 30 days therefore, you are required to collect your official visa (Biometric Residence Permit BRP) once you have arrived the UK. We will assist you to collect it from the local Post Office so please bring along your passport and BRP collection documents when you first attend the university. If you have any query, please visit the International Student Centre (7/F Summer Row Campus) for assistance. Please also see attached the Tier 4 Visa Information for details.
