Please see this webpage for all the information about how to apply for your main course visa and what documents you will need to have ready before your Visa Check & Send appointment:
Financial Requirements for your Main Course Visa Application
To apply for your main course visa in September you will need to include evidence that you meet the financial requirements or your visa application will not be successful.
The first year of tuition fees for your main course + £9,135 for maintenance = Total amount you need to show.
You can use an official sponsor letter or bank statements to show you meet the requirements. However there are strict rules about what is acceptable and what is not.
You must read this Financial Guide as soon as possible to check what you will need. It includes details about how to make sure your new sponsor letter will be correct (if you are sponsored by an official sponsor) or your bank statements (if you are self-financed). It also includes a list of unacceptable documents and what extra documents you will need if you use a parent’s account instead of your own.
You can find the Financial Guide here: http://documents.manchester.ac.uk/display.aspx?DocID=28713
Remember that if you will be using bank statements for your visa extension application you must have held the correct total money in your account for at least consecutive 28 days before you can apply for the visa.
It is much easier and safer to use a UK bank statement.
You should open a UK bank account and deposit the correct amount of money as soon as possible and keep this amount or more in the account until your visa application in September.
Please read the guide and see our website first. If you have any other questions about the financial documents please contact us:
