    Course description

The International Fashion Retailing master's course is exciting and innovative and aims to equip the global fashion-retail managers of the future with skills in e-business, technology and international business strategy. The course will teach you how to be adaptive and to have the managerial and specific know-how to innovate and create attractive products for an increasingly competitive global environment. You will become competent in strategic problem-solving and supply-chain management, and develop your self-learning and time-management skills.

You can choose to specialise in one of three pathways:

    • Fashion Consumer
    • Business Process Improvement
    • Multi-Channel Marketing

This master's covers a wide range of industry-relevant themes including contemporary retailing, retail marketing, e-fashion retailing and multi-channel marketing.

This course is suitable for students from most academic backgrounds and equips graduates with the necessary management skills vital for a career in the fast-paced world of international fashion retailing.

Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD), the University of Manchester's new £400m purpose built home for engineering and material science, is nearing completion. The physical move to the new development is scheduled to take place between January 2021 and December 2021. Whilst it is anticipated that access to equipment, or work on projects for which such access is required may be limited during the period of the move, plans are underway to ensure that any disruption caused is minimised, a wide selection of dissertation projects will continue to be available, and excellent student experience remains pivotal. If you have any questions about how the move may affect you, please contact  pgt-materials@manchester.ac.uk

    Teaching and learning

The course is delivered through a mix of lecturing, blended small and small group tutorials.

We use a range of teaching and learning methods, including tutorials, workshops, seminars and research projects. These are supported by an e-learning infrastructure that includes on-line feedback, lecture and lab podcasting and close academic supervision.
