    好消息!新西兰中学联盟计划接机中国留学生入境

    2020-10-18
    最新消息,新西兰由于疫情控制良好,新西兰中学意向提议接机中国留学生入境,具体重要信息为大家整理翻译如下:

     新西兰中学联盟计划接机中国留学生入境的提案:

    ·      此次进入新西兰境内的国际学生将从上海直飞奥克兰

    ·      此次包机将容纳最多300位旅客,其中150位为中国国际留学生,150位为中国学生的监护人;

    ·      中国学生的监护人会在进入新西兰境内后,陪同其子女一起隔离14天,以缓解低龄学生在隔离期间的焦虑;

    ·      隔离设施为在奥克兰全新建成的酒店(只接受中学联盟的学生和家长)

    ·      在中国留学生隔离期间,他们可以通过线上视频方式参加学校的入学介绍,和他们今后的寄宿家庭,同班同学进行交流;

    ·      隔离费用预计在每人5000新西兰元左右,隔离费用包括隔离期间所有餐食

    ·      隔离酒店将由训练有素的前国防人员进行管理,以确保隔离酒店的安全;

    ·      中国留学生们会在入境新西兰时进行核酸检测,并且在隔离的3天和第12再次进行核酸检测,以确保所有入境的中国学生都符合新西兰政府的健康要求。

         Covid-19: Schools want to run managed isolation hotel forinternational students

    A group of schools wants to run a managed isolation hotel to bring international students over in time for term 1 next year.

    The pilot phase would see 150 school students and their guardians flown to New Zealand on a charter flight from China.

    They would quarantine in a hotel modelled on the existing Covid-19 managed isolation facilities, at a cost of $5000 per student.

    With many school budgets reliant on international student fees, it is “vital” a solution is found to bring them into the country, principal of Auckland’s Macleans College Steven Hargreaves said. He is spearheading the project alongside 10 schools with longstanding international programmes including Nelson College, Auckland Grammar, Rotorua Boys’ High and Rangitoto College.

    They have partnered with a group with experience in managing quarantine facilities on the proposal, which will be pitched to the government after the election. Last year 22,895 school students came to New Zealand for their education, paying on average

    $14,921 each in fees, the majority arriving from China.In a normal year, about 300 of those will enrol at Macleans, where school fees are $19,500.This year, they’re about 90 students down. That’s manageable, Hargreaves said – but if newstudents haven’t started arriving by the middle of next year, he said he’d be forced to cut staff.

    They’ve already hit pause on spending for building improvements and made 10 per cent budget

    cuts across the board.Other schools were in a worse position, he said. Macleans was lucky that most students arrived before the borders closed, but schools that relied on new arrivals in terms 2 and 3 had seen expected revenue from international students evaporate. Hargreaves was confident the proposal was watertight. It would be managed by trained ex-Defence Force personnel, new arrivals would be tested before flying and on days 3 and 12 of their quarantine and students would have induction and mentoring programmes during their stay. The cost for the students would be higher than the government-run facilities because of that extra

    level of care and support, Hargreaves said. While the proposal is yet to be put to government, a hotel chain is on board, with two possible locations in the upper North Island identified.

    The schools are already recruiting students and Hargreaves was confident there would be enough interest.
