To be considered for admission to a Master's e.g. MSc, MRes, MBA, etc, applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of a Lower Second Class Honours. A minimum of an Upper Second Class honours is however normally required for most of our courses.

Applicants for research should hold a first degree and should also be in possession of a Master's degree.

Graduate programmes

Entry to graduate programmes at UCL usually requires either an upper second-class (2:1) or a lower second-class (2:2) undergraduate degree. Please note entry to some doctoral programmes (e.g. MPhil/PhD) will also require a Master's degree. The entry requirements for individual programmes can be found on the graduate prospectus. Entry requirements for postgraduate programmes

You can apply online for all our postgraduate programmes.

The standard requirement for entry to a taught masters programme at Bristol is an undergraduate (Bachelor) degree that is equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class degree (also known as a 2:1).

Applicants who hold a Bachelor (Honours) degree will be considered for admission to a Masters degree. Applicants who hold a Masters degree will be considered for admission to PhD study.

Applicants who hold 4 or above in HKCEE English or grade C or above in HKALE AS level English are likely to be exempt from English language testing.
