curse = to use a magic word or phrase against somebody in order to harm them“诅咒”,例如:

this = used when you are telling a story or telling somebody about something,可以翻译成“这么个”,例如:
There was this strange man sitting next to me on the plane.
I've been getting these pains in my chest.
count your blessings = to be grateful for the good things in your life “对生活中的小幸福存有感恩”。例如:
I try to remember to count my blessings every day.
provide for somebody = to give somebody the things that they need to live, such as food, money and clothing “供养”,例如:
She has three children to provide for.
He didn't provide for them in his will (= did not leave them any money).

roll up your sleeves = to prepare to work or fight 跟中文里的“撸起袖子干活”一个感情色彩。例如:

tear apart = to make people in a country, an organization or other place fight or argue with each other,“拆散”,例如:
