- Be prepared to explain your short-term (post-graduation) and long-term career plans as specifically as possible and to demonstrate your creativity.
- Each essay is limited to no more than 500 words or a single page.
Required Essays
Describe your reasons for pursuing a Master of Marketing degree and your short-term career goals (be specific). In which industry would you choose to work? How will the Master of Marketing program help you achieve your goals? Why is a career in marketing a great fit for your skills and personality?
Imagine you work for the relocation department of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and are tasked with convincing young professionals of the virtues of a one-year assignment in Nashville. Use your creativity and whatever format you prefer to share your plan.
Optional Explanatory Essays
You are strongly encouraged to provide an additional statement to clarify and explain any of the following: poor academic performance, weak test scores, academic misconduct, violations of the law, or anything else you think is important for the Admissions Committee to know about you that is not already addressed elsewhere in your application. Applicants reactivating a previous application submitted within the last two years should provide their additional statement here.
